Dr. Delord has strived to fulfill these roles in his professional life.
Humanitarian Work: Dr. Delord volunteered to serve his country abroad; in 1973, he spent 18 months in Tunisia serving France at the Charles Nicol Hospital in Tunis, in the Department of Ophthalmology (under Prof. M. Rad).
Social involvement: Uponreturning to Nîmes, he became actively involved in community life as president of the Garrigue Nord neighborhood association. Together with his colleagues, he organized two initiatives aimed at preventing glaucoma and traffic accidents caused by impaired vision while driving. These efforts naturally led to two doctoral theses in medicine.
